What I Believe

 

私たちの周りにあるすべての物には、そこにまでたどり着く”過程”があります。しかし、最近はその”過程”が必要以上に簡潔化・省略化されている気がします。人の手で作るという事は想いを込めるという事で、そこにはその時に流れた時間や空間が刻まれます。小さなドットも、細い線もすべて一つ一つ手で色を挿し、描いていき、そこには機械では表現できない微妙なこだわりが込められています。更にその時の気候や温度、湿度など自然が作る絶妙なにじみやゆらぎが加わることで一層存在感が深まり、使用するほどなじみ愛着がわきます。 ”モノ”だけを手にいれるのではなく、それ自体が持つストーリーも共有し、その後も自分で育てていく。それってなんだかワクワクしませんか？ 私はそういうところに本質的なものの良さを感じています。  

 

Everything around us has a process to achieve a goal. However, these days, people don’t care about that when they buy a product. Making something by hands is not only creating products but also putting some story into products such as  time, weather, atmosphere ,feeling and so on. I dye all tiny dots and very thin lines by hand because it is only way to express the delicate beauty and furthermore , a weather , temperature , humidity add something natural effect to the dyeing cloth and make it more beautiful and never be the same.  The story is the key of a good product because you can continue and make a next story by yourself.
