染色の伝統技法である” 引き染め” をベースに、染色の持つ美しさや魅力を 引き出す作品を日々製作。

大学では建築を学び、その後渡米。帰国後はグラフィックデザイナーとして働きなが らも手仕事への想いを捨てきれず、染色工房にて技術を学び 2019 年に独立。

日本人の 文化や感性の素晴らしさを独自の視点から作品に落とし込む。浴衣や小物の製作から暖簾やカーテン、インテリア生地 など幅広く製作を行う。

近年 では染色生地を使い、オフィス、店舗の装飾をはじめ、バスの車体のデザインも行う など様々な分野で染色の可能性を追求している。

2023 年からは国内外のアーティストやブランドとのコラボレーションも行い、日本だ けではなく海外に向けても精力的に日本の文化を発信。 京都芸術大学で講師も務め、若い世代に伝統工芸の現状や魅力を伝えている。

最近では関西万博ローソン店舗内の装飾や、関西国際空港、神戸空港のラウンジエン トランスのアートワークも手がける。

Using the traditional dyeing technique of "hikizome," He creates works that bring out the beauty and charm of dyeing.

He studied architecture at university and then moved to the United States. After returning to Japan, He worked as a graphic designer, but was unable to give up His passion for handcrafted work, so He studied dyeing techniques at a dyeing studio and went independent in 2019. He incorporates the beauty of Japanese culture and sensibility into his work from his unique perspective. His work spans a wide range of products, from yukata and accessories to curtains, and interior fabrics. In recent years, he has explored the possibilities of dyeing in a variety of fields, using dyed fabrics for office and store decorations and even bus body designs. Starting in 2023, he collaborated with artists and brands both in Japan and abroad, actively promoting Japanese culture not only in Japan but also overseas. He also teaches at Kyoto University of the Arts, where he educates the younger generation about the current state and appeal of traditional crafts. He recently worked on the decorations for the Lawson store at the Kansai Expo and artwork for the lounge entrances at Kansai International Airport and Kobe Airport.
